The Cartoon Coach Draws on His Experience

The Cartoon Coach - Jeremiah CarstarphenI had a wonderful visit with The Cartoon Coach – Jeremiah Carstarphen. His story is one of challenges overcome. The growth through his challenges has him coaching with great empathy now. Here are a few of his setbacks.

He jumped out full time in his network marketing company only to fall behind on my mortgage.

Oh that’s bad.

His credit rating fell into the 400′s. He spent the next year working to improve his credit score from 400 to 800. So he qualified to invest 50,000 in a real estate investment that failed.

Oh that is really bad.

It happened Jeremiah lost my job at the same time the renters of his property left it vacant.

Oh my, that is really sad.

He was left paying my mortgage with my credit card at the end of each month in an effort to salvage his credit rating.

Oh my, that is sad.

He then resolved to improve his situation and be out of the debt. Bankruptcy hit him next.

Oh my, that is terrible.

He resolved to live below his means and save my money by getting roommates. He had to move out multiple times as people broke their leases. His last room mate was crazy so he moved to a warehouse he had access to.

No Way. That is devastating.

While living in the ware house he had to leave early before the commercial business park got going. He would spend the day in the library learning Internet Marketing. Only to return to the warehouse when the library closed.

Oh my, No way that is terribly devastating.

Actually he hit bottom when the car in front of him braked and he swerve only to have his car crushed by a 18 wheeler. After getting stitches at the hospital he had to take the bus home. He was alone in the warehouse he broke down crying in the warehouse.

How could it be OK? Well it is going to be OK now.

He helped my girl friend start Internet marketing over a weekend and she started making money. She shared the idea with some friends. They asked Jeremiah to coach them.

Wow, that is neat!

Soon, many people were calling on The Cartoon Coach’s 24/7 coaching. They signed up through his affiliate links and he started making money with his affiliate programs.

Are you kidding me? Fabulous!

Today he has gone from 4 or 5 students to over 100.

Here is what Jeremiah says
“A few short months ago…not even a year I was working 50-60 hours a week only to make a measly $500 ($400 something after taxes.)
Now I work from home and I have multiple streams of income through affiliate sales, my mlm business, and my own product sales.
Quite often I make more in one 5 minute transaction online than I used to make all week working at that job.

And I do this all from home…from my computer.”

From all these challenges Jeremiah has gleaned the following 4 Principles. He builds his coaching program around these:

1. Remove all selfish intentions
2. Build a community of friends and business partners.
3. Always over deliver in value.
4. Always remain humble and never stop learning

The Rainy Day – Oh, That’s Bad! No, That’s Good!

Posted on May 23rd, 2010 in Learning by Living, Leveraging Learning | 8 Comments »

The other day it was raining and I was stuck inside.

It started raining like crazy outside. It was nice and cozy inside. I can barely hear the dripping of water outside.

Oh, that’s good! No, that’s bad!

The dripping sounded different than usual. It was just outside my door.

Oh, that’s bad! No, that’s good!

My curiosity caused me to open the door to look outside and discover the overflowing gutter.

Oh, that’s good! No, that’s bad!

Basement Landing Opening the door let water rush into the house from the porch.

Oh, that’s bad! No, that’s good!

The water flowed into the drain missing all the stuff on the floor.

Oh, that’s good! No, that’s bad!

The puddle on the basement stair landing revealed a clogged drain.

Oh, that’s bad! No, that’s good!

We caught it before it flooded the entire basement and ruined our precious stuff.

Oh, that’s good! No, that’s bad!

LadderWe had to act quickly to stop the landing from filling with water.

Oh, that’s bad! No, that’s good!

It was clear the water was coming from the overflowing gutter and the ladder was a  few feet away. It was cleared easily.

Oh, that’s good! No, that’s bad!

Gutter Drain It took our attention off the water still flowing into the house from the clogged drain in the basement landing.

Oh, that’s bad! No, that’s good!

We got the tools, cleared and drained the clogged drain in the basement landing.

Oh, that’s good! No, that’s bad!

Towels I tracked gunk into the house all over the place.

Oh, that’s bad! No, that’s good!

There were plenty of towels to wipe up the mess and help dry things out.

Oh, that’s good! No, that’s bad!

Some of the towels were purchased yesterday. My wife was NOT Happy!

Oh, that’s bad! No, that’s good!

I apologized. She forgave me.

Oh, that’s good! No, that’s bad!

I had forgotten just what a wonderful person she is. So, I told her.

Oh, that’s good! Yeah, that is good!

Tracy ‘Power Gal’ Monteforte on WT Power Builder

Posted on January 21st, 2010 in The Teach Jim Show | No Comments »

It was a real pleasure to have Tracy “Power Gal” Monteforte on The Teach Jim Show.  She blew me away with her story of developing the WT Power System back in 2001.

Her formal bio summarizes her experience as:

“Tracy ‘Power Gal’ Monteforte, a career network marketer with over twenty years experience, has been a top producer in four international companies as well as a master consultant to the industry.”

But the story from the field came out this way today:

She had 18,000 distributor in her downline in 30 countries when the FTC shut down her company. OUCH!

She definitely has  network marketing experience!

Her bio goes on to tell us about the system the built as:

“She and her husband Patrick are the founders of WTPowerBuilder.com and WTPowers.com, an online, automated, lead generating prospecting, follow-up, training and duplication system, helping thousands of network marketers in over sixty countries to succeed in their home-based businesses since 2001.”

Today we found the story flows much richer.  It was the failure of the company and their loss of income (adversity) which motivated the creation of the system.

They decided to build their own system.  The plan was to build their new business in 3 months for $10,000.  Well 4 months later they only had a program that took 13 minute for the first screen to show on the web. 2/3 thirds of their money was spent.  OUCH! OUCH!

Months later, after spending $70,000 and maxing out their credit cards, the product launched.  Thankfully, for you and I, it was a hit.  They made $1.5 Million their first year.  Their risk paid off and they got their reward.

What a great story of a business success after struggling to pull their system together.  This says a ton about the caliber of people they are.  I’m so glad to know the story behind the formal bio.  Wow.

She and her husband Patrick have taken their system through several revisions. It now works for many organizations and individuals as an extremely powerful system today.

We also found that Tracy had her start as a teacher.  Amazing how a classroom teacher can become so successful in the Network Marketing Industry,  in building the WT Powers system and her Dialing For Dollars Workshops.  Quite a story!

Now, we know the story behind why Tracy’s Bio concludes by mentioning how she helps network marketers “overcome their internal obstacles”. Clearly she is qualified!

The end of her bio concludes:

” Tracy is also a Master Results Coach and conducts Dialing for Dollars Webinar Workshops. Her mission is to teach network marketers how to finally overcome their internal obstacles and truly work 100% from home using just the Internet and the telephone. Tracy is also a Master Results Coach and is passionate about helping her clients achieve their wildest dreams!

She loves working from her home in the coastal redwoods of Northern California. She is the proud mother of two amazing young adult children, Caleb 22 and Olivia 19. Her passions are jazz dancing, travel, entertaining, nature, her many animals and above all having FUN!!!”

Yes, the bio fell short again.  She is qualified to teach this course because she and her team regularly call 100+ leads everyday.  It used to take them 4 or 5 hours.  Now with the tools she shared it takes her an hour and a half.  from that she gets 6-9 leads or about 120 per month.   Wow.  Would that help your business? She knows her stuff!

I’ll tell you what.  It was great to hear the story behind this system.  Fabulous to get to know the people behind the tool.  Clearly, life has taught the lessons and this teacher has learned by doing.  Wow!
